About Me
Many names and aliases have no meaning or purpose behind them.
Mine is not among them.
My alias is: "Soul Sojourner." It is my name as an artist; my "pen name" or "pseudonym," if you will. My name actually comes from a single line of a poem of my own creation.
The poem in question is donned "Delirious." The structure of this poem is derived from the Shakespearean style Sonnet. A Shakespearean Sonnet is composed of three quatrains (a four line stanza) and a couplet (a two line stanza), and must follow the rhyme scheme of abab cdcd efef gg. To be true to it's nature as a Shakespearean style sonnet, the poem must also be composed in iambic pentameter. The structure of this style of poem is very strict and can be difficult to accomplish, but I enjoy it and have written many of my poems in this structure. The general theme of "Delirious" appears to be of evil, death, and souls (reader interpretation required), but it also holds an underlying sense of otherworldly travel. There is also an allusion to the "Bell" in the poem which is a common theme among many of my poems. At the end of my poem, the couplet reads:
The last line is an alliteration which reiterates the underlying sense of travel. To "sojourn" is to "journey" or "travel." A "soul" is a "spirit entity" or the "spirit" of an "entity" such as humans. So to be a "sojourner of souls" you must travel among souls, travel with souls, or travel as a soul; a "soul traveler," or "soul sojourner," if you will.
The poem only compares "them" to "sojourners of souls." It does not say that "they" actually are.

"Three can keep a secret if two of them are dead."
